Gold Recovery Grade

Built for the Carbon Circuit, Not Just the Datasheet

In a CIP or CIL plant, carbon is screened, pumped, eluted and regenerated in a continuous loop. A grade that looks good on paper but breaks down in service costs you gold in the fines and money in make-up carbon. Our gold-grade GAC is specified for the full duty cycle:

  • ✓ Hardness ≥98% — low attrition through screens and kilns
  • ✓ Iodine 1000–1300 mg/g — fast gold loading kinetics
  • ✓ Tight 6×12 / 3×6 mm cut — clean screening and elution
  • ✓ Low ash & low fines — less inert weight, cleaner pregnant solution
  • ✓ COA with every batch — verify it in your own lab

Representative batch data — final specifications per the official Certificate of Analysis (COA) issued with each shipment. The COA for your specific batch states the tested numbers (re-test on request).
Standard compliance: Our gold-grade GAC is produced and tested against the key requirements of YS/T 3038—2020 (Granular Activated Carbon for Gold Production) — the industry standard for CIP/CIL gold recovery carbon.
UN vendor registered: Xiamen Yeli New Materials Co., Ltd is a UNGM registered vendor (ID 1274320), UNSPSC 47101501 — Activated Carbon Equipment / Water Treatment Supply. UN agencies and their implementing partners can source this grade directly against our UNGM vendor record. See our UNGM registration.

Which Activated Carbon for Gold Recovery? — 3-Way Comparison

For CIP/CIL gold recovery, the carbon type decides how much gold you keep. Compare hardness, pore structure and suitability below.

Carbon TypeHardnessPore StructureSuitability for Gold (CIP/CIL)
✔ Coconut Shell Carbon — BEST≥ 98% (extreme)Micropores✔ Recommended for gold mining — no breakdown in CIL/CIP tanks, zero gold loss, maximum gold loading
⚠ Coal-Based Carbon80–90% (soft)Mesopores⚠ Not for gold — wears and crushes, gold fines are lost into tailings
✖ Wood-Based Carbon< 70% (very soft, dusty)Macropores✖ Never use in gold mines — powder carries away already-recovered gold
Bottom line: for gold recovery, choose 100% coconut shell carbon (6×12 mesh, hardness ≥98%, iodine 1000–1300 mg/g) — the gold it saves pays for the higher price.
Why It Matters

Three Specs That Drive Your Cost Per Ounce

Hardness = Make-Up Cost

A 2% difference in attrition can mean nearly a tonne of make-up carbon a year on a mid-size plant — before counting the gold carried away in the fines.

Iodine = Loading Rate

Consistent iodine 1000–1300 keeps your gold loading rate predictable, so elution and electrowinning stay on schedule.

Consistency = Planning

Documentation — See What We Ship With

Every order ships with complete documentation: COA (Certificate of Analysis for the exact lot), TDS (technical data sheet), business license, ISO 9001, and SDS. View a sample COA from our own QC laboratory and our company documents — and test the delivered lot in your own lab.

Your circuit was designed around a spec. We hold the same spec batch after batch — with a COA to prove each one.

How is gold-grade carbon packed for export?

25 kg laminated export bags on shrink-wrapped pallets, or 500–1000 kg jumbo bags, container-ready. We can also arrange partial-container or consolidated loads for African buyers.

Can you supply evaluation samples before I order?

Yes — 500 g lab packs or 25 kg bags at cost, with the COA of that exact lot, credited against your first container order.

What is your production MOQ?

One 20 ft container (roughly 16–18 tonnes). For smaller first orders, ask about consolidated programs for West African destinations.

How to Order — From Sample to Container

StepQuantityWhat You Get
1. Sample500 g – 2 kgLab sample with COA of the exact lot; courier cost only (or free with trial order)
2. Trial25 kg – 1 MTEvaluation bag/ton for your own lab or a small tank; cost credited against first container order
3. Bulk20 ft container (≈16–18 t) or 40 ft (≈20–22 t)Best unit pricing, COA per batch, custom packing per your inland route

Flexible start: tell us your target spec and quantity — we will quote FOB or delivery terms, confirm the grade, and arrange consolidated loads for West African destinations on request.

Compare Three Grades in One Sample Pack

Instead of guessing, test on your own liquor: our 3-grade sample pack ships three coconut shell GAC grades in one parcel — e.g. iodine 1000 / 1100 / 1200, each with its own COA and test method. Run a bench adsorption or small-column test, see which grade fits your pulp chemistry, then order the one that wins.

Spec Tolerances — Written Into Every Contract

Every order confirms tolerance limits for the delivered lot: iodine ±50 mg/g of target, hardness at or above agreed minimum, moisture ≤ 5% as packed, fines within agreed range. If the delivered batch is off-spec, we replace it or credit you — that guarantee is in the contract, not just the brochure.

Lead Times & Delivery Proof

Sample packs ship within 3 working days by courier. Container orders: production 10–15 days from confirmed spec, then sea freight to West African ports (Lagos, Tema, Abidjan, Dakar) with typical transit 30–40 days. We provide the bill of lading, packing list and per-batch COA with every shipment — so your logistics team has full documentation from day one.

Match This Grade to Your Circuit

Tell us your plant size, screen aperture and target iodine — we will confirm the grade, packing and delivery schedule within 24 hours. We produce about 8,000 tonnes of coconut shell activated carbon per year at our Longyan plant, with dedicated gold-grade lines and 50 containers of raw char stock for steady supply.
